The box / self portrait No. 1 > Photography project, 2014

A few years ago I had to empty my parental house. While doing that, I found a box with my name on it. It included my favorite objects from my early childhood. My mother collected and saved them for me. She never told me about it, probably knowing that I would find the box when the time had come to empty the house.

At first I looked upon the objects as being memories of my mother, but later on I realized that they (because of my personal preference for these specific objects) in fact constitute a first form of self portrait, although unintentionally, and on a childlike and unconscious level.
