The artistic concept
We may be living through times of unprecedented change, but in uncertainty lies the power to influence the future.
That’s why we decided to build underground flowers, constructed from the broken fragments of our existence.
Symbols of hope.
It is important to say what hope is not: it is not the belief that everything was, is or will be fine.
The hope we are interested in locates itself in the premises that
we don’t know what will happen and that in the spaciousness of uncertainty is room to act.
When you recognize uncertainty, you recognize that you may be able to influence the outcomes.
And that’s why we built flowers. In hidden spaces, dark basements and damaged buildings,
but ready to face the daylight.
This project has been made possible through the invaluable support of:
STRUQT B.V. struqt.org, The Netherlands.
The Embassies of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Kosovo and Georgia.
